About School of Physiotherapy

The institute established in 2005, with broad mission and vision to develop excellence in health care profession. The institute was well known as a RK College of Physiotherapy, RK Group of Colleges, Rajkot affiliated to Saurashtra University, Rajkot and now famous as School of Physiotherapy, affiliated to RK University, Rajkot.

The school is also recognized by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP), the IAP is a member organization of the World Confederation of Physical Therapy (WCPT). Well qualified faculties, advance technology in laboratories and large exposure to clinical setups remains first priority for the school. The largest setup of library attracts students with its promising environment. To emphasis on health care services, the school has well developed physiotherapy and rehabilitation research centres in rural and urban regions of Rajkot. The school organizes several numbers of medical camps, seminars, health awareness programs and serves more than 12000 patients per year. The students and faculties are serving to large number geriatric population of Rajkot city under Geriatric Rehabilitation program. The institute is operating Parkinson’s Diseases Support Group (PDSG) with more than 65 registered members. The school has also opted research journal / book (ISSN/ISBN) publication rights for Quarterly Published Physiotherapy News Letter “physioforum”.

On an excellence in curricular and non curricular activities, the school of physiotherapy was awarded the best college of the year for 2010. The institute has organized numbers of national / state level conferences, seminars, workshops and CMEs under global theme of “empowering students” at RK University campus. The school of physiotherapy is 1st in Gujarat and 6th in India providing bachelor (BPT), Master (MPT), and Doctoral (PhD) level programs under one roof.
