Memories of my college days
First year is a very crucial period for every college fresher. I was no different. Having being brought up in a CBSE background school helped me in facing the challenges of making friends with Gujarati   speaking college mates. Study wise everything else was the same. Having mastered Gujarati helped me mingle faster with everyone. Galore was a time when even the most timid students could showcase their talent in front of the college crowd. The best part about RK was education was the top most priority right from the management to the students. The college offered the best place to spend one's time with the books. Such peace is a rare sight in other colleges. The students bonding is worth mentioning. Till the last day of the college I could not but feel so attached to the college which had given me a lot of exposure and life changing experience.
These were one of my best years. Lastly I would like to thank my Principal and all the professors who stood by me and encouraged me all these years whenever I needed it and brought out the best in me.

It’s almost 5yrs back when I got admission in RKCOP as the last merit student. I can still exactly remember my 1st day at college. Being the student of second batch of R.K. Pharmacy, I have seen the complete picture of college from dry campus to today’s green campus and from RK Group of Colleges to RK University.
If you go to various colleges and compare them with our college then you must be happy to be a part of RK family. Most importantly, our faculties, ready to help at every time, whether it is inside the class room, on the sports ground or on the stage. Campus, infrastructure, laboratories, instruments and equipments, library, computer laboratory, animal house and medicinal plants garden, all these things are very difficult to maintain but our college has well established all of them. When it comes to student development, every effort is made to take out one’s capability. Student of the year, college of the year and faculty of the year awards are encouraging to all to develop themselves.
Pharmacy building has got its own beauty. Although you might be feeling this place very strict (during college schedule), but once college schedule is done- stairs beside our library, two resting steps at cology laboratory, central garden, computer lab, animal house entrance and terrace of the building becomes live. Even when I am typing this page, I am missing all campus masti, every trees and every bench of the campus, yearly sports week, the most entertaining time of GALORE nights and specially the temple. I can still visualize each and every moments I spent in the campus, beginning from the 1st year to the last day of my college.
Valuing things which we got is very important. We always criticize things what we have. But when we move on and see back, we will miss what we had. So do not let this situation occur with you. Enjoy your precious years in college, grab every opportunities u get, develop yourself as an all-rounder and be confident. You can contact me for any kind of help or suggestions. Do not hesitate yourself, arjun_mody2002@yahoo.com or 9558803803.
I must thank the SHTC Trust for providing me such platform. Being the part of RK alumni is my pleasure.

When I think about my B.Pharm college I gone through the beautiful college with best infrastructure, laboratories, animal house, medicinal garden, library & supportive teachers. R.K. is the most leading institute not only in academics but also in extracurricular activities & events of every stream. Through the journey of four years of my college life I can observe the drastic change in myself when I come & when I out. My beautiful memories of this college including National conference when I participated actively. After passing out through R.K. & being through the new college I can realise the liberty of mine R.K. including using library, reagents, specially instruments. At last I want to be thankful to all my loving professors for their kindness, help to teaching me excellence work style.

Memories are hunting horns. My memory is certainly in my hands. I can remember things to the best but still I have a pencil and I can write it because I cannot trust my hippocampus or amygdala for my memories to last ever.
My sweetest to heaviest memories begin as my admission got confirmed in R.K. College of Pharmacy in Sept. 2006. As joining the college 1 week late, my to be classmates stared me for that 1 whole day. Slowly as time started to pass, my attachment towards my friends, college, canteen, gardens, temple, etc. increased.
I passed golden days of my life in the duration of 4 years in my bachelors in R.K. Those were the days when the alarm use to ring loudly early in the morning still no response from my side, by the way it was good to have snooze facility we got which used to make me reach the college last minute. For me my refreshing button was sweet smile of my friends in the college. Truly the best relation in this universe ever. Recalling lectures, they were awesome for sure but chatting and laughing, nicknames to be called up and the last benches games were also a part. Break was something that all of us used to wait for. During break it was to be lot of fun having chips and samosas, being a favourite menu for all 6 days with best buddies.
Now bunking was something that all college students do but I and my friends never needed to bunk. As our college was the best place to cherish moments and a second home to us. The best thing was our staff of teachers and our principal sir. They had been so talented and active in our development and moulding us in such a better way that today we feel highly proud for them and feel lucky to have them as a part of our life.
How can I forget submissions? Submissions were always overhead, not because we did not get sufficient time but indeed it was that our seriousness was triggered lately. Therefore, whole night writing…… on……. writing would go on for journal completion, as next day would be the last day for submission. Indeed it wasn’t writing and writing but copying and copying from friend’s journal with lots of editing. This editing wasn’t any grammatical correction but shortening the length of the writing part.
Participation was the first thing I used to do. I used to participate in any of the events announced, either it to be a sport, cultural, anchoring, other games, quiz, debate, presentations, dance, drama and many more. I never felt nervous or shivered in any such activity or event, except sitting in front of an examiner during viva. Those 10 minutes viva during examination used to be as long as 10 years. Examination was the toughest part. But still I and my friends managed to ooze out from it very well and stably.
Never knew when these 4 years completed and the painful moment of separation arrived. We all parted with heavy heart and made sure that the last 4 years of our togetherness would be the best phase of our life.
Today life is only a series of images that change as they repeat themselves. The best buddies of my memories are Vihangi, Ishani, Palak, Shruti, Arjun, Hiten and Bharat. Miss u guys and R.K.!!!

The best part of any educational institute is the entrance through which we enter, and temple at the entrance gives us hint of the best place for knowledge. The greenery of the campus always keeps our mind fresh. From the 1st year itself I was very much adjusted to the new forms of studying and the new life so called “college”. The credit goes to the principal, the faculty members, the non teaching staff and seniors and of course my colleagues. The teaching staff showed excellent unity and strength within themselves. They all have passed out from one of the best colleges of Gujarat and they gave us the best theoretical and practical knowledge. They always remained as our friends. The best thing was they took interest in all extra circular activities and all the functions and gave us guidance to make it best. Library was my favorite part of the college as everyone who studied with me might know it. I think no institutes of Gujarat might be having such a huge collection of medicinal plants and I am proud of it because I was one of the helping hands during plantation. Classrooms were available with modern amenities. The social work group named “Rotaract” performed activities regularly for the welfare of the society.
I miss many things about RK. The computer lab and common room were the best place to enjoy after lectures. I miss all my colleagues with whom I used to enjoy each and every lecture. I miss the social group members. I miss the enjoyment during the preparation of the events and functions. I miss the next day of the declaration of the university results because they were always unexpected to everyone. I miss the tours which were conducted every year because they are the best remembrance. Each and every part of RK is immortal in my heart and will always be.
Signing off with lots of love and memory. One thing I will always be asking to god is to give back those four beautiful years.

All of a suddenly this thought popped up in my mind…. Why not pen down all those memories which I had with my friends? It’s the best way to keep it afresh in your mind. I would be sharing all those funny moments we had together, those pranks we played… everything. Not sure if this will be of anything interesting for you. But writing this will definitely take me in the air. Now I sort of feel nostalgic about my days at college..
It was a delightful and fulfilling experience I will always cherish – learning from erudite and totally dedicated Professors, who were authorities in their fields of specialization, amidst excellent academic facilities, elaborate labs and animal house, lush green campus, one of the best medicinal garden, well-designed comfortable hostels, delicious food in mess, sports fields and facilities in hostel for all types of sports, the unique well-stocked and intellectually inspiring library, and the exquisite Radhe-Krishna temple that added a spiritual dimension to the scholarly ambiance.
I can never forget those delightful moments of Teacher’s day when I had played role of One Day Principal of college, my role as “angutha Chhap Education Minister” in the drama performed in Fresher’s party , Navaratri Function, Annual Function and sports week (especially cricket). How can I forget mouthwatering memories of the IPC tour at Delhi and Industrial tour at Himachal Pradesh.
I always remember this sentence of Devang Pandya sir “Bhaila ama kaai j na karvanu hoy ” and “Tragedy King” after changing of my Third year B.Pharm marksheet
This is dedicated to all friends and my teachers who made my life special in those days. Dedicated to all the night outs that we did, all those movies we watched, all the restaurants where we hogged, all those exams we prepared together for, all those sleepless nights we called each other to keep ourselves awake or just standing outside and talking philosophical matters past midnight with a friend
Miss each and every person! Now that everyone is in a different, wish I could go back in time and just enjoy those days one more time which I know is quite impossible..
